SupplyHouse.com, a fast-growing and successful e-commerce company, is looking for a Website Search Manager to join our Merchandising Team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our website’s search engine, ensuring a seamless and optimized search experience for our customers 

This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters up to three times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.

Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington)

Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy.

Salary: $105,000 - $130,000 (annually)

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the third-party provider of the website’s search engine
  • Act as the subject matter expert on how the search engine system operates, leveraging expertise to provide insights that drive business understanding and decision-making
  • Optimize search algorithms to deliver accurate, relevant, and efficient search results
  • Conduct regular analysis of search queries and user behavior to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to measure the impact of site search optimization
  • Gather and implement customer feedback to enhance search accuracy, usability, and satisfaction across the website
  • Oversee the integration and functionality of search technologies, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise
  • Stay up to date on new search engine technologies and industry trends to maintain a high performing search experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, marketing, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience managing website search engines
  • Preferred experience with systems such as Bloomreach, Google Vertex AI Search for Retail, Elastic, Coveo, or Algolia
  • Proven ability to collaborate with remote teams, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in an ever-changing environment
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, retail systems, and statistical analysis, including data manipulation, ongoing analysis to identify opportunities, and conducting A/B tests to evaluate new settings
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines deliverables and stakeholder updates
