What You’ll Be Doing

Technical Leadership

  • Oversee the quality of code and product output, ensuring alignment with PMG’s best practices and industry standards.
  • Lead high-impact projects from conception to deployment, ensuring solutions integrate seamlessly with broader business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including technical, creative, and client-facing teams—to improve internal systems and shape requirements for new features.
  • Develop and drive the roadmap for scalable custom solutions, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve existing systems.
  • Champion best practices in coding, quality assurance, and troubleshooting, helping refine current solutions while developing new ones.
  • Provide technical guidance and strategic insights to client teams, leveraging expertise in media, technology, and emerging trends.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster collaboration, spark innovation, and expand the team’s capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to address challenges or unlock opportunities, keeping the team at the forefront of innovation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of up to 6 Solutions Engineers, setting clear goals, providing consistent feedback, and fostering a culture of growth and learning.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one sessions and code reviews to support team members’ technical and professional development.
  • Share your expertise, particularly in SQL and Python, to mentor junior engineers and ensure they’re well-supported in their roles.
  • Deliver high-quality, unit-tested code while instilling a detail-oriented, quality-first mindset within the team.
  • Lead by example, setting a high standard for both technical output and professional conduct.
  • Inspire a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to explore new technologies and approaches that push boundaries and deliver exceptional results.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering or similar role, with a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 
  • 1+ years of experience managing a team of 3+ direct reports, with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and empower team members while ensuring accountability.
  • Hands-on experience leading development projects and driving teams toward high performance.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages for data manipulation, analysis, and process automation.
  • Familiarity with modern frameworks and tools like Django, Flask, or Node.js to guide development efforts.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with experience implementing scalable and secure solutions.
  • Knowledge of APIs and integrations, including REST and GraphQL, for seamless platform connectivity.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform to streamline deployments and optimize system performance.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI to present insights effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide a team through complex technical challenges and inspire collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, paired with a passion for innovation and delivering exceptional results.
  • A collaborative, team-first attitude that prioritizes mentorship and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, providing both technical advice and strategic insights to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Familiarity with the digital marketing industry and its unique challenges and opportunities.
