We are seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our growing team. This is a strategic business development role, focused on establishing revenue generating commercial alliances/partnerships with technology companies, financial institutions, and professional services firms, such as market data firms, trading systems, portfolio management and accounting systems, application development firms, consulting and advisory firms, custodians, and more. The ideal candidate has had prior experience in a strategic alliance or corporate business development role at a scale up or fintech firm. 

You will work closely with our executive, finance, sales, technology and product teams to ensure delivery and success of strategic partnerships. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Lead strategic partnerships functions from prospecting to close
  • Identify, evaluate and execute strategic partnerships that align with our business objectives and growth strategy
  • Maintain a network of external relationships 
  • Establish “growth oriented” relationships with technology service providers, financial institutions, and professional services firms 
  • Research and support the development of enterprise partnership strategies 
  • Develop and maintain pitch books, financial models, marketing materials 
  • Working closely with technology and product teams to identify product opportunity 
  • Conduct due diligence, financial analysis, and risk assessment to determine the viability and potential value of business opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the execution of strategic projects

Must Haves:

  • 8+ years of experience in a combination of roles across institutional/enterprise sales, business development, investment banking, strategic alliances, strategic partnerships 
  • Previous experience in a strategic partnerships and/or alliances role at a technology scale up is required 
  • Experience in developing partnership strategies from the ground up, leading execution from an end-to-end perspective 
  • Advanced knowledge of wealth & asset management (including mid/back-office operational process)
  • Rockstar communicator who can translate technical details into benefits, distil complicated messages into easy to understand value props, and persuade others with thoughtful storytelling
  • Hungry and independent thinker, comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, unstructured growth environment - you must be a self-starter
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think strategically
