Reporting to the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting, the Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting is responsible for preparing financial statements, equity accounting, accounting policies, and technical accounting memos to support our accounting conclusions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the preparation and review of quarterly financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules
  • Coordinate information requests and prepare documentation to support the financial statements, footnotes and disclosures, including disclosure checklists and tie-outs
  • Assist with the execution of the financial statement audit
  • Account for complex equity transactions including stock-based compensation, stock repurchases, award modifications, warrants, and performance based awards
  • Research the application of new and existing accounting pronouncements, assist with the adoption of new accounting standards and prepare of technical accounting memos
  • Interpret US GAAP and lead discussions on complex accounting topics across the business
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations as well as review those prepared by staff and senior accountants on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate information requests for valuations such as those related to stock compensation and newly acquired companies
  • Assist with integrating the financial results of acquired companies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the financial reporting process & maintain appropriate documentation

Required Functional Competencies:

  • CPA
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Public company and/or public accounting experience with exposure to SEC financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting and SOX compliance
  • Accurate and extremely well organized

Preferred Competencies:

  • Experience working in financial reporting tools and GL accounting systems (NetSuite, Workiva, and Shareworks are a plus)
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills; well-grounded in GAAP
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with all organization levels and team members in multiple locations and time zones
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $110,000 - $140,000, as well as variable compensation and company stock options.
