About the role
The Senior Analyst, Risk / Compliance supports Oscar in ensuring adherence to industry specifications, standards, regulations, and laws. They support in reviewing operational practices, drafting and enforcing procedures, and perform regulatory reviews.
You will report to the Regulatory Manager.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $76,800 - 100,800 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $69,120 - 90,720 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- With guidance, partner with all relevant departments to make sure current compliance levels.
- Support compliance training for team members
- Ensure that all team members are aware of the procedures to be followed to follow compliance requirements.
- Delegate tasks to other departments to bring compliance levels up.
- Support in developing reports, to the governing body.
- Assist regulatory authorities with completing site visits and external audits.
- Help conduct audits alongside external authorities.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 1+ year experience in health plan compliance
- 1+ years experience with State DOI health insurance rules and regulations, CMS ACA rules and requirements, CMS requirements
- 2+ years experience managing high-volume and complicated projects, keeping track of details, and staging work to complete projects on time
Bonus Points
- CHC, CCEC, or similar
- Fluency with State DOI audit or reporting obligations
- State DOI audit management experience
- Experience in a startup and/or health tech environment

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
