Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role

The Sr. Regulatory Analyst is an important member of the Regulatory Operations team responsible for project managing and supporting discrete tasks to ensure Oscar is compliant with federal and state health plan requirements. You will work with internal Oscar teams and interfaces with our external regulators.

You will report to the Sr. Manager Regulatory Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the review and submission of provider and network contract filings, provide support to annual commercial product and adhoc filings to State and Federal agencies to ensure that all requirements are submitted accurately and within established deadlines
  • Prepare and file Oscar's provider and network contract and insurance products through the annual form & binder filings for assigned states and regions, including the triaging of objections received to impacted teams and driving overall resolution
  • Maintain processes for internal tracking and monitoring of provider, network, annual commercial product and adhoc filings with diverse teams, including building a repository of previously received objections to decrease objection totals
  • Support successful relationships with regulatory bodies and state-based exchanges for Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.
  • Contribute to the development of a repository of internal procedural guides on provider contract, network contract and annual commercial product filing obligations to support teams and retain institutional knowledge.

  • 2+ years of SERFF and/or HIOS filings experience
  • Project management skills.
