About Monte Carlo

As businesses increasingly rely on data + AI to drive competitive advantage, it’s mission-critical that they are trustworthy and reliable. Monte Carlo, the data + AI observability company, solves this problem through their fully automated, SOC-2 certified data + AI observability platform. Billed by Forbes as the New Relic for data teams and backed by Accel, Redpoint Ventures, GGV Capital, ICONIQ Growth, and Salesforce Ventures, Monte Carlo empowers companies to trust their data.

About the role:

The Product Management team at Monte Carlo plays a critical role in guiding our products' overall lifecycle - development, adoption, and enhancements. Our primary focus is understanding customers' needs and pain points and aligning the product to address these in intuitive workflows.

You should join our team if the following resonates with you!

  • Making our customers extremely happy is our top priority at MC, starting with the product. We serve hundreds of enterprises allowing us to use meaningful quantitative data as well as personal relationships with users to inform our product work.

  • Building a Data+AI Observability product for technical users. Our solution helps data engineers, data analysts, data scientists and data governance managers make their data+AI products reliable and trustworthy. We are the creators and leaders of a new category, meaning building our product is HARD and requires creativity. We need to listen to customers and innovate on their behalf to come up with unique approaches.

  • Owning impact end to end: Our product managers own goals around adoption. Shipping products is not enough, and we make sure we drive significant adoption and impact for customers. We collaborate with marketing, sales, customer success and our users to accomplish that.

  • We are growing quickly: Monte Carlo is growing rapidly in terms of customers, revenue and headcount. We enjoy the challenges and adventures that come with high growth environments.

You will report to our CTO.

Location:

Anywhere in the Americas, including US, Canada, and Latin America

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Own our growth work, ensuring we fairly monetize the value our customers get from using our product

    • Maniacally optimize user activation and retention, our north star

    • Ensure our consumption pricing model is frictionless for users

  • Entirely own strategy, roadmap, and execution A-Z for your team

  • Partner with experienced engineers, product designers, and data analysts to ship product features and iterate on them

  • Work directly with our users to gather feedback, validate priorities, define product requirements, and drive adoption

  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, and Support to understand our customers’ pains and roll out solutions

We’re excited about you because you have:

  • 4+ years of product management experience, ideally working on growth initiatives for 1+ years

  • Experience in enterprise SaaS applications, ideally creating products for technical users / with a PLG motion / monetized via a consumption pricing model

  • Track record of shipping impactful products that solve complex business problems

  • An instinct to always speak with customers and understand their pains, while also reviewing analytics

  • A sense of urgency, and a preference for iteration over perfection
