What the role is: Sales Representative

Team: New Business Development, Financial Vertical

Reporting to: Director of Business Development 

About the Role

As a Sales Representative at NetCov, you will play an essential role in supporting our sales efforts and growing our client base. Working closely with senior sales executives, you will assist with lead generation, client outreach, and qualifying prospects. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, motivated by results, and excited to start a career in IT sales, particularly in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity.

Accountabilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and identify potential leads in assigned vertical. Utilize a variety of tools, including LinkedIn, email campaigns, and cold calling, to reach out to potential clients.
  • Support Senior Sales Team: Assist the senior sales team in managing leads and opportunities. Help schedule meetings, prepare sales materials, and follow up with prospects to ensure timely responses and progress through the sales funnel.
  • Client Qualification: Qualify inbound leads by engaging with potential clients, understanding their basic needs, and identifying the right fit for NetCov’s cybersecurity and IT solutions.
  • Product Knowledge & Learning: Develop a strong understanding of NetCov's IT and security services. Continuously learn about the unique challenges facing assigned target market and how our solutions can meet their needs.
  • CRM & Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system, tracking prospect interactions, lead status, and follow-up actions. Assist in generating sales reports for senior leadership.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support campaigns, customer outreach efforts, and lead nurturing initiatives.
  • Networking & Industry Engagement: Participate in industry events, webinars, and conferences to build industry knowledge and expand your professional network.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or customer service. Experience or interest in IT, cybersecurity.  Experience in one or all of the markets Netcov serves is a plus but not required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of one or al of the markets Netcov serves and the accompanying regulatory environment (e.g., CMMC, SEC, PCI-DSS) is preferred. Willingness to quickly learn about the unique challenges and opportunities in assigned vertical.
  • Sales Skills: Excellent communication skills, with a knack for engaging with potential clients over the phone and via email. Ability to listen and ask relevant questions to understand client needs.
  • Technical Curiosity: Strong interest in learning about IT solutions, particularly cybersecurity, and how these solutions can benefit assigneed vertical.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Role Logistics

  • This is a full-time position
  • This position may require travel to client offices where locations will vary.
  • This position may require travel to industry events, Network Coverage office locations, and Network Coverage events where locations will vary.
  • Salary range: Base: $45,000-55,000 Annually
  • Target commission opportunity: $20,000-75,000
