ABOUT THIS ROLE
Zogo is currently seeking a skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our our team in Austin, Texas. Our products include an iOS/Android application, web products and various integrations, and we are looking for someone to establish and lead both our manual and automated QA processes. As our first dedicated QA hire, you will play a crucial role in defining how we approach quality assurance, implementing automated testing processes, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive QA strategy with a focus on automation for both our iOS/Android app and web products.
  • Designing, writing, and executing automated test scripts for various platforms and products and guiding developers in doing the same effectively.
  • Identifying and coordinating with external services to improve the QA process.
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
  • Collaborating with developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Performing manual testing where necessary and guiding developers in doing the same effectively.
  • Continuously improving automated testing processes and tools.
  • Communicating QA results to stakeholders and proposing solutions for detected issues.


YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years as a QA Engineer or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes including regression testing.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
  • Strong familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with mobile app testing and web testing.
  • Experience with testing for Ionic/Angular or Node.js applications is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualification or degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
