We are looking for an Engineering Manager to help grow and manage our engineering organization. This individual will be responsible for providing technical expertise and oversight in the delivery of key product features and design, ensuring best practices and code quality from the engineers that they manage, and drive planning and organization to set their team up for success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for teams by facilitating design sessions and providing technical expertise

  • Own the sprint planning and prioritization for the work the team does, that aligns with resource allocation and commitment goals

  • Perform regular one-on-ones to provide feedback and goals to help foster growth

  • Oversee and enforce defined engineering and product processes within the team. Code reviews, test-driven design, software architecture planning, agile ceremonies, etc.

  • Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of engineering talent

  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to identify areas for improvement and key initiatives, and provide support in executing those initiatives

  • Partnering with Product Management to ensure the team has a clear strategic direction and understanding of the work they are being asked to do. 

  • Be a champion for industry standard best practices

Required experience & skills: 

  • 2+ years experience in an engineering leadership role

  • 8+ years experience working with teams to deliver engineering solutions

  • Demonstrated software architecture design experience

  • Solid technical documentation ability

  • Strong understanding of scrum and agile methodology

  • Effective leadership and mentoring ability

Education (preferred, not required): 

  • BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$138,810 - $198,300 - $257,790

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
