The Role

Summary of Job:

The Director of Sales at Lumistry is responsible for leading the Sales Team to generate & close new business and upsell/renewal opportunities in North America via effectively communicating and demonstrating the value of the full suite of Lumistry product offerings to meet and exceed sales goals and quota. This is a hybrid role working at least 3 days a week in our Austin, TX office.
Description of Job Duties:

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ~20 inside sales representatives responsible for meeting and exceeding a sales quota by excelling at key critical success factors, including outbound calls, opportunity identification, pipeline maturation and upsell/cross-sell 
  • Measure and track KPIs to drive team performance
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, customers, and competitors as well as having in-depth knowledge and understanding of the market and knowing competitive products.
  • Attract, recruit, and retain top sales talent.
  • Foster a meritocratic sales culture that rewards superior performance and results. 

Sales Execution and performance management:

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Create scripts, decks and templates for the Team to maximize impact and support goals, perfecting the stages of the sales process through Lumistry.
  • Track record of success in accelerating sales results, motivating change, and leading with passion within an Inside Sales organization
  • Develop training programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Review sales calls to improve sales team performance, coaching and developing team members 
  • Provide continuous feedback through our quarterly cycle and provide actionable feedback.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing and customer support, to ensure a coherent approach to sales.
  • Communicate sales goals and strategies to the team and other stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback on Sales and customer needs to refine our business strategy.
  • Work with other teams and stakeholders to ensure Sales team alignment with company-wide initiatives such as product rollouts.
  • Partner with Success and Implementation teams to maintain a consistent and outstanding customer experience from demo to onboarding.

Required Education, Experience and Special Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred though not required.
  • At least 5 years of inside sales leadership experience, with demonstrated quota carrying sales role and proven achievement in meeting sales quota.
  • Ability to leverage data and metrics to make decisions about sales strategies and objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive, open, and high-energy approach to growth and learning.
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as Team Member motivation techniques.
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment and challenging industry.

  • This position is is based out of our HQ in Austin, Texas
  • This position is eligible for performance-based variable incentive compensation subject to a separate Compensation Plan
