We want to make the best decisions we can for our products and in order to do that we want to make data-driven decisions. To achieve this goal, we are looking for a talented Analytics Engineer - you! - to join the Data Platform & Product team. Together we will make SonarSource’s products the undisputed world-leading code analysis solution!

On a daily basis, you will

  • Design and develop the analytics domains according to business priorities following Data Mesh principles, and especially the GoToMarket and FP&A domains
  • Support the functional domains in their data ownership journey
  • Collaborate with the data engineers, analytics engineers, and data product owners to define and realize the data objectives
  • Own DBT Cloud and the data visualization tools including Tableau
  • Continue our implementation of DBT Mesh
  • Own the data catalog, manage metadata additions, and ensure they are aligned with the company's needs
  • Make sure that key metrics are easily accessible to everyone, are properly defined,  and verified
  • Continue to develop the observability capabilities of the data platform
  • Be proactive in the data exploration of the product data and offer insights to various stakeholders (Executive Management Team, Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, ...)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to specify the analytics they need based on business and technical requirements

The skills you will demonstrate

  • Solid experience in developing analytics components: exposed to big data architecture essentials, data modeling,  data exploration, SQL queries, dashboarding, data lake, etc.
  • You see yourself as a data explorer and the one who maintains the data catalog in one consistent piece
  • You are a friendly, enthusiastic, and organized team player. You actively share your knowledge, and give and receive feedback to improve the team and yourself
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in visualization tools such as, but not limited to Tableau, Looker, PowerBI
  • SQL, Python (pandas, matplotlib), Git, Jupyter
  • Experience in data engineering development using AWS CDK is a strong asset. 
  • Knowledge of GoToMarket and FP&A domains is an asset
