The Customer Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies and programs that drive engagement, product adoption, and growth across the customer lifecycle. This role is critical to the success of Customer Success, Account Management, Marketing, and Product teams, fostering collaboration to achieve shared goals. By leveraging data-driven campaigns, automated programs, impactful events, and tailored communications, the Customer Marketing Manager works to increase product usage, expand use cases, and improve overall customer retention. Additionally, this role partners closely with the customer advocacy team to cultivate a dedicated group of “raving fans” who champion AlertMedia within the industry.

What you get to do every day:  

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and retention across the customer lifecycle. 
  • Build and manage a multichannel communication strategy (email, in-app, direct mail, social) to deliver timely, relevant customer experiences.
  • Plan and execute impactful customer events, including meetups, webinars, and product learning sessions, to deepen engagement and foster community.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Success to drive awareness and adoption of new and existing product capabilities.
  • Design self-service enablement resources such as templates, checklists, and videos to empower customers and scale adoption efforts.
  • Gather customer insights through surveys and feedback loops, using data to refine strategies and optimize performance.
  • Support a team of Customer Success Managers, Implementation Managers, and Renewals Managers, running collaborative campaigns that drive high levels of engagement, adoption, and retention outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships with Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to align on goals and drive results.
  • Analyze KPIs to identify trends, optimize campaigns, and ensure alignment with business objectives. 

What you bring to the role:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, or a related role in B2B SaaS
  • Strong passion for understanding customers and helping them succeed
  • Strategic mindset with a proven track record of developing innovative programs with a measurable business impact 
  • Proven success in developing and executing data-driven marketing campaigns
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally
  • Proficiency with marketing tools such as Marketo, Gainsight, Outreach, and Salesforce
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a willingness to take on non-role-specific duties as needed to support the team and business
  • This is a hybrid position (2-3 days a week) based in downtown Austin, Texas. We have a strong preference for this person to be in Austin, TX
