As a Customer Account Executive, SMB, you’ll work directly with your Sales Manager to master our product, sales process, forecast methodology and internal tools – to facilitate meetings with both your customers/prospects and internal partners and sell our platform to achieve your goals. You will manage your territory, originate leads, create, and close full cycle sales opportunities. You’ll work closely with our existing customers and partner with CSM’s to ensure our customers achieve their primary business objectives, while also overseeing expansion sales and collaborating with Renewals Managers for contract renewals spanning single and multi-year terms.

You are passionate about helping customers achieve their primary business objectives with the AlertMedia platform, revenue growth, creating and closing sales opportunities, solving problems, working cross-functionally and skilled in creating strategies and tactics that drive revenue. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a willingness to support the broader team and business. You take extreme ownership of everything you are responsible for and are driven to continually improve.
What you get to do every day:
- Run the day-to-day activities of a large geographic territory and maintain AlertMedia processes.
- Meet with your Sales Manager to review your forecast, pipeline, individual opportunities, territory, and pathway to exceeding your quota.
- Collaborate across various internal teams to ensure the overall success of the program and annual team goal achievement. (Customer and Field Marketing, Customer Success Managers, Renewals Managers, Product Marketing, Finance).
- Meet with customers to facilitate sales growth, negotiations, product demos, new product overviews, support related questions, etc.
- Execute the AlertMedia sales methodology and process with excellence while serving the customer’s needs.
- Learn and demonstrate the AlertMedia platform to new and non-AlertMedia users.
What you bring to the role:
- 3+ years' experience in account management or sales with a history of success in SaaS (Software as a Service) Sales.
- A people first, process oriented and data driven mindset.
- Experience managing opportunities with complex, multi-threaded sales cycles.
- Ability to map account whitespace, connecting the dots in customer organizations and accurately forecast.
- Proven success in closing opportunities with a consistent track record of hitting goals and numbers.
- Demonstrated success in relationship building, prospecting, pipeline management, contract negotiation and closing customers.
- Ability to build positive relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; ideal candidates have experience adapting in rapidly changing environments and contributing to an evolving sales process.
- Experience leveraging Salesforce and Outreach.io
- This is a hybrid position based in Austin, Texas. Must be located in Austin or the surrounding areas.
