About the role:
We’re looking for a creative, highly organized, and people-first Culture Programming & Events Manager to join our People/Culture team. This role is all about creating moments that connect, engage, and inspire—whether through thoughtfully curated IRL and virtual events, rituals that celebrate our values, or scaled programs that support a thriving remote culture.
You’ll be at the heart of how we bring our culture to life. From company-wide offsites to global virtual social events—you’ll be designing and delivering the kinds of moments that make a lasting impact and contribute to the happiness and connectedness of the Monte Carlo team.
Monte Carlo deeply values culture—not just as a nice-to-have, but as a key driver of our success. We move fast, aim high, and have a lot of fun along the way. If you love building experiences that bring people together and make work feel more human, we’d love to meet you.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
-
Own and execute a variety of internal culture programs and events—including virtual and in-person gatherings, holiday parties, functional team meetups, and quarterly social events
-
Maintain and drive our quarterly culture programming calendar, ensuring regular moments for connection, learning, celebration, and recognition
-
Curate and manage a calendar of key cultural moments, including recurring events and one-off experiences that support connection, recognition, and fun
-
Lead internal event marketing efforts to build excitement and visibility across time zones
-
Lead our Regional Leads program—empowering internal ambassadors to run regional meetups and culture activations aligned to our values
-
Set up metrics to track the success of cultural initiatives, analyze employee feedback, and regularly review and adjust strategies based on results
-
Support employee experience by managing our Zendesk request queue
-
Create scalable templates, guides, and playbooks so that culture initiatives can grow with the company
-
Partner with WeWork and co-working vendors to drive office space strategy in US/Canada hubs, boosting in-person engagement and “FOMO” around IRL moments
-
Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, and logistics
-
Bring fresh ideas that surprise and delight our team in meaningful, authentic ways at scale
We’re excited about you because you have:
-
3–5 years of experience in culture, internal events, program management, or employee experience—ideally in a remote-first environment
-
A portfolio of creative, high-impact experiences you've led or helped shape—ranging from large-scale events to scrappy cultural rituals that bring teams together
-
Exceptional organizational and project management skills—able to juggle multiple programs, timelines, and stakeholders with clarity and calm
-
A people-first mindset and strong interpersonal skills—genuinely enjoy collaborating with others and building programs that feel inclusive, thoughtful, and fun
-
Experience owning logistics and execution for both in-person and virtual events, including managing vendors, timelines, budgets, and communications
-
Proficient in Canva (or similar design tools) with an eye for creating compelling internal marketing assets and materials
-
Confident using spreadsheets and simple dashboards to track feedback and metrics over time
-
A proactive, “What if we tried...?” attitude—brings fresh ideas, solves for the now, and scales for the future
-
Comfort with change—you thrive in environments where we’re building as we go
-
Willingness to travel for in-person events and offsites as needed
We are a remote-first company with employees and offices across the globe, including in San Francisco, New York City, and London.
