AlertMedia is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to join our corporate marketing team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented collaborator who is passionate about writing and creating content for programs like webinars, podcasts, event and conference presentations, social media, videos, and more.

This role is responsible for conceiving, writing, and developing slides and talk tracks for AlertMedia’s webinar program, project management and production support for The Employee Safety Podcast, and contributing content to other initiatives that build brand awareness, generate leads, and advance our audience’s understanding of issues that impact employee safety. The candidate should demonstrate a variety of practical and creative skills, including but not limited to business-oriented storytelling, project management, brand ambassadorship, short and longform writing, design abilities, and a desire to learn new skills related to content creation and production. This role will report to the Director, Content & Communications.

This person is proactive, resourceful, and a team player, and is enthusiastic about supporting AlertMedia’s mission to help our customers keep their people safe. This position works within the corporate marketing team, which is responsible for delivering a wide range of content for both internal and external audiences.

 What you get to do every day:

  • Contribute ideation, guest recruitment, research, slide builds, and talk tracks for AlertMedia’s webinar program.
  • Own the project management and production of The Employee Safety Podcast, including preparing guest briefs, scheduling meetings, writing and developing podcast collateral, facilitating recordings, and staging final episodes.
  • Develop content for live and virtual event presentations.
  • Collaborate with AlertMedia’s Social Media Manager to help develop content for all social channels.
  • Liaise with agencies, freelancers, and internal marketers to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Represent AlertMedia’s brand and uphold our priceless reputation to customers, prospects, subject matter experts, and influencers.
  • Assist with the production of digital media content, as needed.
  • Assist on other content marketing projects, as assigned.

What you bring to the role: 

  • Two years of corporate marketing experience, preferably B2B.
  • Desire to do work that makes a difference, supporting AlertMedia’s mission to help companies keep their people safe.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and research skills.
  • Ability to construct story narratives and bring them to life for a B2B audience.
  • A flexible, team-first collaborator who is willing to both give and receive constructive feedback.
  • A goal-oriented individual who approaches projects with a positive, inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams to source, develop, and execute ideas based on multiple inputs.
  • A proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point.
  • Graphic design, video production, and audio editing skills are a plus!
  • Two writing or project samples that demonstrate both creative and technical capabilities.
  • This is a hybrid position (2-3 days a week) based in downtown Austin, Texas. Must reside in Austin or surrounding areas.
