The impact you can have 


As a Community Program Manager - Meetups, you will plan and manage in-person and virtual meetups that foster a sense of belonging and knowledge sharing. The role involves strategizing, coordinating, and executing events that align with the organization’s mission while engaging diverse community members. 

On a daily basis, you will focus on:


  • Program Development and Planning

  • Create a comprehensive meetup strategy that aligns with organizational goals
  • Design engaging formats and themes that resonate with community interests
  • Plan a schedule of meetups, ensuring a consistent cadence of events

  • Event Coordination

  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, equipment, and catering.
  • Assist meetup chapter leaders with creating event agendas, inviting speakers, and designing promotional materials.
  • Coordinate registration processes and monitor attendance

  • Community Engagement

  • Build relationships with attendees to understand their needs and interests.
  • Foster networking and participation through interactive sessions and activities
  • Collect feedback from attendees to improve future meetups

  • Content Development

  • Identify relevant topics and speakers who can add value to the community
  • Collaborate with speakers to ensure high-quality and relevant content
  • Develop educational materials related to events for meetup chapter leaders and attendees

  • Marketing and Promotion

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote meetups via email, social media, and other channels.
  • Create campaigns that encourage active participation by community members

  • Metrics and Reporting

  • Track and analyze key metrics like attendance rates, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Prepare post-event reports to assess success and identify areas for improvement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other teams to align meetup programs with broader organizational initiatives.
  • Develop best practices for community engagement.

The skills you will demonstrate

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Public Relations, or a related field - or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in event planning, community management, or program management
  • Demonstrated success in organizing meetups or similar community-focused events
  • Passionate about fostering community relationships and empowering members to network

  • Project Management and Organization

  • Manage multiple events simultaneously with strong organizational skills
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure the smooth execution of events

  • Communication and Interpersonal skills
