About the role

The Claims Quality & Audit Trainer is responsible for facilitating training content to foster a competent, agile workforce within claims quality. The trainer plays a crucial role in achieving high-quality training standards aligned to key business outcomes.

You will report to the Manager, Claims Quality.

Work Location: 

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission. 

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $72,800 - $95,550 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $65,520 - $85,995 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate instructor-led courses for claims audit teams
  • Monitor quality metrics on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to source key content needed to facilitate trainings
  • Proactively audit and update training content, leveraging subject matter experts and learning feedback to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Present auditor quality scores and provide feedback to the team
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years end-to-end claims experience 
  • 2+ years experience presenting to diverse audiences 
  • 2+ years experience facilitating training/coaching in a production environment

Bonus Points

  • Instructional Design Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience facilitating or building training
  • Experience working in a call center support function
  • Experience working in a regulated industry within healthcare
  • Claims auditing experience

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
