Job Description:
Business Development Representatives fuel the growth of the business by generating new pipeline for the business. They are actively mentored and developed to advance their career and skillsets into sales or other business units.
Duties/responsibilities
- Partnering with sales reps to strategically determine messaging, persona targets, and account strategy
- Researching target accounts, identifying key players and crafting targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to stimulate opportunities
- Developing and nurturing accounts and contacts through outbound calls, social messaging, emails, events, and other mediums
- Creating sales-ready opportunities and transferring those leads to Sales Representatives
- Handling sales pipeline through qualification to discovery and preparing reports and forecasts on activities and results using Salesforce.com
- Achieving and exceeding monthly quotas of qualified appointments and pipeline generated
Minimum qualifications/skills
- High-level communication, writing, and time management skills
- Can collaborate effectively and is a great teammate
- Resilient in problem solving and maintaining a strong mindset
- Shows resourcefulness and demonstrates the ability to work well under pressure
Preferred qualifications/skills
- Interest in pursuing a career in sales
Education and experience requirements
- Typically requires no previous professional experience.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
