Guild is hiring an to scale the efficiency and impact of a growing Forecasting and Financial Analytics team. In this position, you’ll play a key role in building and owning processes that use data & analytics to effectively forecast the client’s education benefit program as well as Guild’s key business metrics.

In this role, you’ll have a unique opportunity to work on innovative challenges that will allow us to mature our forecasting processes, deepening relationships with clients and internal teams.

As an , you will:

  • Build and own scalable modeling solutions to forecast several components of clients’ education benefit with Guild
  • Partner with Forecasting and Financial Analytics teammates to deliver full set of forecasts in service of managing client’s education benefit program
  • Manipulate and analyze complicated data sets, partnering as needed to improve data quality and infrastructure
  • Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to help internal stakeholders understand forecast drivers and the impact on client and internal business metrics
  • Drive critical business decisions by providing insights supported by reporting and analytics
  • Partner cross-functionally with our Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, Technology, and other teams to support business needs

  • 3+ years of total experience in an analytics, data science, forecasting, or financial planning & analysis
  • Strong experience with SQL and experience transforming and structuring large datasets into reusable formats with ETL tools such as dbt
  • Experience in model development, maintenance and tuning (including logistic regression, random forest, time-series forecasting), and at least one coding language (R, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, or similar data visualization tool
  • Ability to execute quickly with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, data visualization, and project management skills
  • Strong ability to identify the most significant metrics for a given business objective and translate analyses into tangible recommendations for business leaders, working cross functionally to achieve shared objectives
  • Comfort presenting insights to senior team members using data-driven storytelling
