SupplyHouse.com, a fast-growing and successful e-commerce company, is looking for a Website Search Specialist to join our Merchandising Team. This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the product search terms for our website

This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters up to three times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.

Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington)

Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy.

Salary: $68,000 - $85,000 (annually)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring users can easily find the relevant information through site search for each product offering
  • Review and optimize current pages to create a more efficient site search experience
  • Determine key phrases to add to site search based on product knowledge and industry terms
  • Ensure all relevant content is optimized for search, collaborating with SEO team, Customer Support, and Category Management as needed
  • Develop the list of key phrases for each product and the needed category breadcrumbs to allow for a more customer friendly site search experience
  • Understand the customer base and their shopping tendencies and edits the search terms accordingly to create a more efficient and effective closure rate
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of search functionalities and analyze data for insights
  • Generate reports on search performance to identify gaps in product offerings and propose new products to enhance the product catalog

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience with product knowledge in industry-related fields such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Heating; technical expertise in these areas is a bonus
  • Strong statistical analysis and data manipulation skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, retail systems, and other software solutions, including internal databases
  • Experience working with remote team members and strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Critical and creative thinking skills while keeping up with an ever-changing environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while remaining flexible in a high growth environment
  • Capability to actively manage the timeline and deliverables of projects and provide project updates to stakeholders
