We are seeking a Web Security Researcher to advance our capabilities in detecting sophisticated bots. This role is ideal for a security-minded researcher interested in reverse-engineering existing technologies, identifying anomalies, and developing research tools to validate new detection hypotheses.
Once a concept is established, you will be responsible for efficiently and securely implementing it before it reaches production. This means you will lead the entire R&D cycle, from concept to release.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop methods to detect sophisticated bots through reverse engineering and anomaly detection.
- Create research tools to validate hypotheses and improve bot detection techniques.
- Own the full research lifecycle—from ideation to implementation in production.
Must-Have Skills
- Ability to conduct complex and effective research.
- Strong understanding of web browsers and automation techniques.
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering.
- Solid understanding of internet security and privacy mechanisms.
- High level of personal ownership and autonomy, with experience working in environments with undefined requirements.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in bot detection techniques.
- Hands-on experience bypassing advanced bot detection systems.
- Contributions to open-source projects.

Compensation:
160 - 190k For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
