We’re seeking a dynamic leader to drive loss prevention and risk management excellence in the West Zone as our Vice President, Western Zone Field Leader, Risk Management. This role offers an opportunity to execute strategy, enhance member experiences, and make a meaningful impact in protecting homes and communities. 

 

About the Role 

As a key member of PURE’s Risk Management leadership team, reporting directly to the Field Leader, Risk Management, you will oversee and execute field operations and strategies for the West Zone. This role requires close collaboration with Zonal and Regional leadership and the Risk Management Operations team. You’ll lead a talented team of Directors, and Risk Management Specialists, driving improvements in loss prevention, productivity, and operational efficiency, all while fostering an exceptional Member experience. This position is flexible, allowing for remote or office-based work, but regular field travel to engage with your team, members, and zone leadership is essential. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the Risk Management vision for the West Zone, aligning closely with the Field Leader, Risk Management to set priorities and achieve key objectives. 

  • Zone Collaboration: Partner with Zone and Regional Executives to align planning, staffing, and budgeting. Attend regional meetings and represent Risk Management at key events. 

  • Culture of Excellence: Cultivate a high-performance culture that prioritizes serving the membership through actionable loss prevention advice, strong technical acumen, efficiency, exceptional service, and profitability growth. 

  • Member and Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a visible and trusted representative of PURE, building relationships with members, brokers, and other key stakeholders. 

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and empower a high-performing team of Risk Managers. Ensure the team receives robust technical, and Member experience in partnership with the Risk Management Technical Training Manager. 

  • Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with the Risk Management Operations team to refine processes, workflows, and tools to enhance productivity. 

  • Communication: Maintain open, transparent communication with direct reports, Risk Management leadership, and Zonal leadership to ensure alignment and clarity. 

 

What We’re Looking For 

We’re seeking an accomplished professional who thrives in a leadership role and shares our commitment to excellence and innovation. Key qualifications include: 

  • People Development: Proven experience in coaching and developing individuals and leaders. 

  • Strong Technical Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in loss prevention (product/services/maintenance), large loss property claims, building trades, or related technical fields. 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • Industry Expertise: 10+ years of experience in loss prevention, or 5+ years of high-net-worth personal lines experience. 

  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years of proven leadership with a track record of success and growth. 

  • Autonomy and Integrity: Ability to excel in an autonomous environment with integrity, enthusiasm, and credibility. 

  • Curios & Agile Learner: Quick to absorb and apply information to solve business challenges. 

  • Customer Focus: Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities. 

  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, able to interpret and utilize data as a guide in decision-making. 

  • Geographic Knowledge: Expertise and understanding of specific perils in the West Zone. 

  • Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel to support member engagement, team development, broker interactions, and key business meetings. 

The base salary for this role can range from $145K - $160K, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
