Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and visionaryVP of Product – Search, GenAI, & AIto lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of Datasite’s AI and search initiatives. You will build and scale an elite cross-functional product team focused on modernizing our platform, leveraging AI and GenAI to drive automation, efficiency, and customer value. This high-impact role requires a strategic leader who can align business goals with emerging technologies, manage a complex roadmap, and drive innovation while ensuring security and compliance in a highly regulated industry. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership & Vision 

  • Define and execute acomprehensive AI and search strategy, aligning with Datasite’s long-term business objectives and competitive differentiation. 

  • Identify and drivehigh-impact AI and search initiatives, ensuring that our platform remains at the forefront of innovation in FinTech SaaS. 

  • Build and lead a world-class product team, including Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and UX Researchers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and execution. 

  • Partner closely with executive leadership todefine investment priorities, ensuring strategic allocation of resources. 

AI, GenAI, & Search Product Development 

  • Own theproduct roadmap for AI, GenAI, and search, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term innovation. 

  • DriveAI and ML-driven product enhancementsthat improve search relevance, document understanding, automation, and predictive insights for dealmakers. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams todevelop and ship scalable AI-powered solutionsthat address complex customer pain points while ensuring ease of adoption. 

  • Develop AI governance frameworks that balance innovation withregulatory compliance, security, and ethical AI practices. 

Data-Driven Decision-Making & Experimentation 

  • Establishdata-driven KPIs and OKRsto measure the success of AI and search initiatives. 

  • Foster a culture ofexperimentation and rapid iteration, leveraging A/B testing and continuous learning to refine AI models and user experiences. 

  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering toensure high-quality AI model training, deployment, and monitoringfor accuracy, fairness, and bias mitigation. 

Customer & Market Insights 

  • Act as thevoice of the customer, deeply understanding user workflows, search behaviors, and pain points to inform AI-driven product innovations. 

  • Stay ahead of industry trends,emerging AI technologies, and FinTech developments, ensuring Datasite’s competitive advantage. 

  • Conduct customer discovery and market research, translating insights into actionable product strategies. 

Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration 

  • Partner closely withEngineering, Data Science, UX, and GTM teamsto deliver AI-driven solutions that enhance dealmaking productivity. 

  • Influence executive stakeholders by effectively communicating thestrategic and financial impactof AI investments. 

  • Ensure that AI and GenAI solutions comply withdata privacy, security, and industry regulationsto protect client confidentiality. 

Thought Leadership & AI Evangelism 

  • Represent Datasite as a thought leader inAI-driven dealmaking, search, and automation, speaking at industry events and engaging with key customers. 

  • Mentor and develophigh-performing AI and product talent, building a best-in-class AI and search organization. 

Requirements 

  • 10+ yearsof experience in Product Management, with at least 5 years leading AI, search, or ML-driven productsin enterprise SaaS, FinTech, or a similar complex domain. 

  • Proven leadership experienceat the VP or senior director level, managing and scaling high-performing product teams. 

  • Deep expertise inAI, GenAI, and search technologies, including NLP, information retrieval, vector search, embeddings, LLMs, and ranking models. 

  • Strong track record ofdelivering AI-powered products to market, with measurable business and customer impact. 

  • Experience balancingAI innovation with compliance, security, and risk management in a regulated industry. 

  • Exceptionaldata-driven decision-making skills, leveraging analytics, A/B testing, and experimentation to drive growth and engagement. 

  • Deep understanding ofenterprise B2B workflows, particularly in financial services or dealmaking environments. 

  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability toalign cross-functional teams and influence strategic decisions. 

  • Strong technical acumen; ability to partner effectively with engineering and data science teams. 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience working withLLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and AI-powered automationin enterprise SaaS. 

  • Familiarity withFinTech, M&A, or financial data products. 

  • Programming experience (Python, R, SQL) to engage deeply with AI/ML teams. 

  • Thought leadership in AI, including published content or public speaking engagements.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position.  Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$195,900.00 - $351,800.00
