Position Summary

We are actively seeking a VP, Financial Services, Industry Solutions.  This global role will report directly to the Group Vice President, Industry Team.  The VP Financial Services, Industry Solutions may work from a remote office in or near a major international city/airport.  The role will require significant travel as necessary (expected 35% - 50%) across the US/Americas, EMEA, and APAC to meet with prospects and clients and attend industry and company events. 

Driven by the goal of scaling the company to $1B/year in revenue, Rimini Street is focused on accelerating its success in the Financial Services industry market segment. The role of VP Financial Services, Industry Solutions will be responsible for supporting our GVP, Industry Solutions in developing and executing a direct and indirect lead and pipeline development strategy to build and grow Rimini Street’s revenues across key market segments and regions to achieve current period business targets and to create a long-term sustainable business.

The role will carry a quota for incentive compensation, as an overlay to the Sales team. 

Success in this role will be based on accelerating Rimini Street’s growth in the Financial Services market. 

The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in the Financial Services industry, having worked for multiple companies in those markets, with 15+ years’ experience in enterprise IT and technology-related roles. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

Identify and Develop Opportunities

  • Support Sales to drive and achieve our Industry Sales goals in each Region and Globally – enable Sales and actively participate in Lead Generation and sales Cycles (net new and x-sell) 
  • Engage with Regional GM/Sales/Client Success Leadership to define Go-to-Market strategy per Region  
  • Expand strategic relationships with key Financial Services partners through the orchestration and execution of strategic account strategies, built on deep understanding of our customers’ business priorities, market trends, and Rimini Street’s competitive advantages; identify new opportunities and help define a roadmap to support their key objectives 
  • Develop a partner network, both globally and regionally within your industry 
  • Quarterly meetings with GMs and leadership teams to measure results & review strategy. 

Work with Sales to Accelerate and Close Deals:

  • Active engagements with Sales leaders and lead regular strategic accounts and pipeline reviews to support field execution  
  • Become Executive Sponsor for Key Strategic Accounts in your industry 
  • Actively participate in Sales cycles to accelerate and close large deals 
  • Support a partner network to accelerate pipeline and increase our revenues globally and in each region. 

Generate Industry-specific Messaging and Content

  • Collaborate with our Global Leadership team to define a Go-to-Market strategy and develop messaging and value propositions that highlight mutually beneficial relationships and value to our customers and prospects across the Financial Services market  
  • Generate Industry-specific Messaging, Assets, and Content and work with marketing to develop strategic plans, including events and campaigns  
  • Maintain significant knowledge of customer’s business trends, current macro and micro economic climate, competitive awareness, legislation, market intelligence, and potential new business ideas to exploit growth opportunities and provide long-term strategic direction 
  • Enable revenue teams with industry-specific content, key prospecting messaging, approach & tools; work with Sales Enablement to develop training programs per industry 
  • Partner with Sales Enablement and our Proposal Teams to create Industry training and proposal content. 

Provide Thought Leadership

  • Be an Ambassador and thought leader – Represent and evangelize Rimini Street as a compelling spokesperson, telling the Rimini Street story to promote the company and build the brand for the Financial Services market 
  • Evaluate and participate in key industry events 
  • Establish trusted advisor status with the client’s senior executives, through the development and presentation of value-add solutions, driving growth and mind share 
  • Create a Rimini Street Industry platform & community for active collaboration and innovations 
  • Active engagements with clients to grow the account and increase retention; develop strong references and advocacy 
  • Work with our Global Leadership team to develop packaged solutions, proactive roadmap for innovations & services per industry along with potential partnerships.

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, Master’s or MBA desirable 

Location

  • Remote - U.S.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Financial Services industry as a Senior Executive within the industry (CIOs preferably) or a recognized Industry Lead.

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop executive relationships with clients, partners, and industry analysts and to leverage relationships effectively 
  • Experience in building relationships with senior executives including C-level at large enterprise organizations. 
  • The ideal candidate will have existing strong relationships with senior decision-makers in large companies and organizations in the Financial Services industries 
  • Experience in defining, developing, and driving new opportunities together with sales account executives to expand new business 
  • Candidate should be a self-starter with a willingness to embrace change and adapt in a rapidly evolving, fast-moving market and company 
  • Ability to influence people and direct groups in dotted-line relationships and matrixed organizations 
  • Strong communication skills – written, oral, and presentations 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Proven record of producing high-quality deliverables and results, on-time
