The Vice President, Investor Relations (IR) reports to the Chief Financial Officer in Austin, Texas. This role is responsible for creating a proactive, strategic, best in class investor relations function, developing and executing YETI’s global investor relations strategy and all related written materials, and serving as the primary point of contact for the global investor community. This role is accountable for creating and presenting a consistent and compelling message to the investment community on behalf of YETI, and for monitoring and presenting to management the opinions of the investment community regarding YETI's performance. The individual will have strong business and financial acumen, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to demonstrate thought leadership, and the ability to cultivate relationships both inside and outside of YETI.
Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a key advisor to the CFO, CEO, and Board on YETI’s investor relations strategy.

  • Develops and maintains an investor relations program focused on creating value-driving messages for the investment community.

  • Performs ongoing and comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and a summary of key messages.

  • Develops and monitors performance metrics for the investor relations function.

  • Establishes the optimum type and mix of shareholders and creates that mix through a variety of targeting initiatives.

  • Creates presentations, scripts, press releases, and other communication materials for YETI’s quarterly earnings process, and for other presentations to the investment community as needed.

  • Assists with the production of annual reports, SEC filings, and proxy statements.

  • Manages the investor relations portion of the YETI website.

  • Monitors research reports on the company and the industry and provides analytical summaries for senior management and the Board.

  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with and serves as the key point of contact for the investment community.

  • Provides feedback to management regarding the investment community's perception of how the company is being managed, its corporate strategy, and their view of its financial results.

  • Prepares senior leaders for meetings with the investment community and provides feedback/post event analysis.

  • Serves as a member of Disclosure Committee, providing analysis and recommendations to improve disclosures and related processes.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree; Master's degree preferred.

  • At least 20+ years of progressive financial, management, and leadership responsibilities with extensive experience in shareholder communications.

  • At least 5+ years in Investor Relations preferred.

  • Demonstrated success leading an investor relations function, including the successful development and implementation of strategic, proactive IR plans that have delivered results.

  • Experience and success serving as an independent contributor, with strong examples of cross functional partnership.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to translate company strategies into crisp, persuasive, strategic messaging.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skill set; ability to take large volumes of information and present it in a clear and concise manner to senior management, the Board and the global investor community.

  • Understanding of financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.

  • Comprehension of macroeconomics, capital markets and trends, competitor activities, and key metrics for companies in the industry.

  • Knowledge of SEC disclosure and filing requirements.

  • Builds strong relationships and works effectively/credibly with senior leadership. Carries a mature and commanding executive presence.

  • Cultivates, develops, and maintains a strong network of investment community relationships, including investors, analysts, rating agencies and financial media.

  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
