We are looking for a full-cycle Technical Recruiter to foster meaningful relationships with our organization, prospects, and candidates to hire the best talent in the market. While the primary focus will be technical recruiting, you will flex into non-technical and executive recruiting as needed. As an expert in talent acquisition, you are excited to create innovative sourcing and recruiting strategies to continuously improve and optimize our recruiting process. You'll be the face of Zello when talking with prospects and candidates and will be their advocate as they progress along the candidate journey. The ideal candidate has the desire and drive to own all aspects of the hiring process and present themselves as the expert in hiring best practices.

You will report to the Head of People and work closely with Zellonauts and candidates to create an exceptional hiring team, prospect, candidate, and onboarding experiences.

We're based in Austin, TX, and we offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement with the opportunity to work both in the office and remotely.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll recruit for diverse roles and skill sets, primarily engineering and product management, as well as other roles in our Operations, Customer, and Data Teams.

  • As a strategic partner, you will collaborate with our leadership team to convey best practices and demonstrate effective change management.

  • You’ll constantly seek out and engage the best candidates using strategic and creative sourcing methods and utilizing your network.

  • By sharing the Zello story, purpose, and vision, you’ll keep prospects and candidates involved and excited throughout their journey.

  • You’ll use data to understand what’s going well and what’s not and continuously strive to improve internal and candidate processes.

  • You’ll work with the interview team to ensure we’re both interviewing successfully and selling Zello throughout the hiring process.

  • You’ll collaborate with the Head of People to provide executives with meaningful data and insights.

  • You’ll explore and identify opportunities to increase Zello’s presence and brand in the talent marketplace.

Who you are

  • You have five or more years of experience recruiting technical talent in a startup or scaleup environment. Experience recruiting non-technical and executive talent is a bonus.

  • You love sourcing the best talent and don’t rely on the best of what’s available.

  • You’re passionate about what you do and are constantly curious about best practices, strategies, and new trends in talent acquisition.

  • You convey an affinity for a mission-driven vision and culture and can get candidates excited about both.

  • You understand the balance between competency, technical and behavioral-based interviewing and can help design interview processes that include all three.

  • You understand the importance of good data hygiene, use data to define and measure success, and formulate insights that lead to better hiring practices.

  • You’re a flexible self-starter with an operational mindset who is continually seeking ways to improve efficiency in our efforts.

  • You’re organized and can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
