SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

The Technical Project Manager specializing in project delivery, will lead large-scale enterprise cloud initiatives. This role requires a client-facing project management with a proactive and persuasive approach to driving cloud transformation strategies, ensuring delivery excellence, and identifying upsell opportunities. The TPM will work with AWS architects and engineers, aligning solutions with business needs and delivering high-impact outcomes for enterprise clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • AWS Cloud Delivery & Project Management
    • Lead end-to-end AWS cloud migration, modernization, and optimization projects.
    • Define and manage delivery roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics for engagements.
    • Proactively mitigate project risks, resolve technical roadblocks, and escalate critical issues.
    • Implement cloud-native development methodologies (Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD) to improve delivery speed and to show value often. 
  • Consulting Leadership & Thought Leadership
    • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on migration, hybrid cloud, and cloud-native applications.
    • Lead executive briefings and AWS strategy workshops to drive cloud adoption.
    • Mentor consultants and technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and AWS excellence.
  • Operational & Financial Management
    • Manage project budgets and financial forecasting
    • Optimize AWS team performance through capacity planning, upskilling, and resource allocation.
  • Other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering, computer science, or related discipline and 6-8 years of general IT experience (programming, hardware, software, etc)
  • 5+ years in technology consulting, with at least 2+ years leading AWS cloud initiatives
  • Proven track record managing AWS enterprise engagements ($1M+ projects)
  • Strong ability to sell and upsell AWS solutions within enterprise accounts
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and traditional waterfall
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience in AWS cloud migration, application modernization, and multi-account AWS architectures
  • Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, API Gateway, IAM, Control Tower, Security Hub)
  • Familiarity with AWS DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS)
  • Familiarity with AWS security frameworks, cost management, and governance strategies
  • Certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, PMP, SAFe

  • Detail Oriented: The ability to be thorough, accurate, focused, and concise.
