Manager, Strategy & Operations – Authentication Operations

The Team

With innovative and exciting operational initiatives, the Authentication Operations team is a fast-paced and passion-filled team to be a part of. This team has successfully launched watches, handbags, sneakers, trading card, and apparel authentication in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, Germany, and Japan in a few quick years. We are a group of diverse teammates who together make a complete business unit and are seeking a Strategy & Ops Manager.

Responsibilities

You will be joining the Authentication team to support the Strategy & Operations of the Authentication Operations organization, with the opportunity to shape a fast-growing business at eBay. In this role, you will report to the Strategy Lead owning the planning process and supporting the development of an evolving strategy for Authentication and other operational services at Ebay.

The Job

  • Responsible for supporting development of the long-term Authentication Operations vision and strategy comprehensive of: facilities, operations, finance and technology
  • Own, drive and manage, a planning process for resourcing and delivery of an initiative-packed roadmap
  • Manage the roadmap and stay on top of key dates as well as their movement
  • Analyze and model future projects along with developing presentation materials for leadership approval of strategy with grounded justification
  • Maintain contracts for team and ensure all renewals and new contracts align to long-term vision
  • Deliver process design for special projects as they arise
  • Support go-to-market and project management as needed
  • Travel 10% of time if in Bay Area, more if located elsewhere

Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience preferably in consulting, strategy, corporate development or similar roles
  • Ability to build out cases for executive approval by working with internal stakeholders, and developing business case from research and financial evaluation
  • Finance exposure and P&L management a plus
  • Ability to analyze data and develop initiatives to create compelling and grounded strategic proposals
  • Bring order to ambiguous situations, taking on challenges with high visibility, and bringing others on the journey
  • Untangling sophisticated processes, crafting strategic roadmaps, and telling compelling stories
  • You value partnership, collaboration, and action
  • You thrive in ambiguous, high visibility situations, and can operate with a high degree of autonomy
  • Impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
  • Highly proficient in advanced Excel analytics with strong attention to accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Enjoys frequent change in a hyper-growth environment with evolving team, roles, and responsibilities
  • Shifts from detailed analysis to big picture strategy comfortably
