Strategic Events Intern (Summer 2025)

About The Role
The Strategic Events Intern, reporting to the team's Senior Director, will work closely with the various program owners across the organization. This will include planning and administrative duties relating to Cloudflare's inaugural user conference, our presence at large scale Industry Events, and early support of our Sales Kick-off.
Responsibilities
This role will have the opportunity to not only work on a variety of projects and programs, but will engage with cross-functional teams that are the Strategic Events Team's internal partners and stakeholders. You should gain some varied experience via this internship.

• Cloudflare Connect (inaugural user conference)
• Support hotel room block concessions, add/change/delete requests, and employee housing
• Manage onsite staffing grid to include times, dates, roles, and employee names
• Track event supplies, materials, other physical resources, and freight planning.
• Support the event's marketing communications efforts via editorial calendar maintenance, social media planning and inspration, copy writing, and cross promotional research
• Maintain growing registration data analytics
• Other programs
• Support distillation or summarization of future program availability grids
• Maintain industry event metrics

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills with a bias to detail
• Communication skills for copy writing and internal emails, chat, and meetings
• Proficiency with standard office software, g-suite preferred, and the ability to learn new tools quickly
• Experience in professional hospitality from an event planning perspective (hotel banquets, catering, restaurant private dining, special events or entertainment venue, etc)
• OR
• Event planning experience for an association or organization with which you are affiliated (University Orientation planning, Greek system, volunteer organization, etc)
