The Storyboard Artist role is only open to current Texas residents. The Storyboard Artist plays a pivotal role in transforming scripts into dynamic storyboard sequences that convey drama, action, and occasionally comedy. With a focus on high-action sequences and complex choreography, the Storyboard Artist must demonstrate exceptional draftsmanship, a strong sense of shot direction, visual storytelling, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
In close collaboration with the Episode Directors, the Storyboard Artist ensures each scene aligns with the series’ style and narrative. They interpret scripts, create compelling storyboard sequences, and provide key elements such as shot selection, camera movements, rough posing, and shot descriptions. This enables the Animatic Animators to refine the drawings and add motion to the performances downstream.
This position reports directly to the Episode Directors.
