Job Description

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Test Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:

• Contribute to and build tools, frameworks, and other infrastructure needed to support automation.
• Participate in technical design sessions and writing technical design documents.
• Design and implement automation frameworks.
• Design, code, and implement automated tests in Java using Selenium or similar.
• Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements.
• Create, maintain, and execute function, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Work closely with cross functional teams (e.g., Product Development) in understanding the requirements for writing and running tests in a live environment.
• Report defects in a timely manner and work with the Development team to manage defects until issues are resolved.
• Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate release decisions.
• Assist in on-going process improvement efforts related to quality.
• Proactively create test cases for known defects and integrate them into the test suite.
• Mentor junior engineers to build their skills and contribution levels.
• Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff SW Test Engineer-related occupation.
• Test planning, test scenarios creation, test data creation, and executing test cases.
• Preparing test data based on business scenarios and creating tools and scripts to manufacture test data.
• Coding and testing applications.
• Web applications and web services.
• Java and Java-based automation framework, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, unit-testing, shell-scripting, and RDBMS.
• Working with UI/UX automation with Selenium, and multi-browser testing.
• Designing, and building tools/utilities to improve testing effectiveness.
• CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and TestNg.
• Unit testing, test-driven development, security, and performance testing.
• Debugging and troubleshooting in LINUX/UNIX container-based servers.

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $112,100.00 USD to $179,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
