Job Description SummaryGE HealthCare is seeking a skilled UX Designer to lead design prototyping and UI wireframing for our Services products and solutions, empowering field engineers and other service personas globally. This role focuses on crafting intuitive, user-centric software experiences for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
As a Senior UX Designer will contribute to multiple high-impact projects, applying deep expertise across specialized business domains to enhance usability and efficiency. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, this individual will transform complex workflows into seamless digital solutions that optimize service operations and deliver an outstanding user experience.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing participatory design methods (e.g., co-creation workshops, card sorting) to capture business vision, user needs, and behavioral insights.

  • Translating abstract challenges into structured roadmaps, identifying key design solutions through thoughtful inquiry and analysis.

  • Conducting user research to understand mental models, workflows, and working environments, ensuring designs align with real-world needs.

  • Synthesizing stakeholders research and creating compelling visualizations to effectively communicate user and customer insights.

  • Developing annotated prototypes and wireframes that clearly define software application behaviors and interactions.

  • Leading and influencing organization-wide discussions on UX strategy, advocating for user-centric design principles.

  • Building expertise in industrial business domains, products, key processes, suppliers, customers, and market dynamics.

  • Driving effective documentation and communication of design solutions through wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user stories.

  • Researching and evaluating emerging design trends, technologies, and industry best practices to enhance future product experiences.

Required Qualification & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design with advanced experience.

  • Demonstrated strong understanding of Agile / Lean UX methodologies.

  • Skilled in standard design & wireframing tools (Adobe CC, OmniGraffle, Sketch), hand drawing and visual communication, time-based and interactive prototyping tools (Hype, Adobe Edge, Keynote).

  • Ability to use generative techniques (sketching, brainstorming, etc.) to establish a variety of possible design decisions and decision scenarios.

  • Ability to map current industry trends to internal vision and bring related suggestions to the team.

  • Understands principles of design thinking, what it is and why it is important.

  • Ability to actively cultivate an understanding of how individual people and things fit within larger structures (like systems or organizations), as well as the relationships between parts of a system and the system as a whole.

  • Understands the value of a rigorous, collaborative and transparent decision-making process.

  • Demonstrates sensitivity to key cultural issues.

  • Ability to express UX and design concepts to collaborators on cross functional teams, by explaining the rationale and benefit of design ideas.

  • Demonstrates the ability to extract and communicate how customer groups are thinking and feeling.

  • Ability to make decisions and take actions appropriately when all available information may not be possible to obtain.
