The Senior User Experience Designer collaborates closely with business leads, IT professionals, and field employees to drive the creation of innovative digital products and seamless user experiences. You will play a pivotal role in guiding the design process, from initial discovery and research to workflow and UI design, and through usability testing. The focus is on developing systems that prioritize the user, empowering stores to excel in achieving their sales goals.

Requirements

  • 5 years of IT and/or Business experience.
  • 3 years of designing usable interfaces for the web utilizing various methods (e.g., wireframes, mockups, prototypes).
  • Familiarity with responsive web design principles and mobile applications.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects, including wireframes, prototypes, and UX research. A clear indication of specific roles and contributions for each project in the portfolio.
  • Understanding of standard interface expectations and fundamental user behaviors.
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with stakeholders to define and refine business requirements.
  • Strong foundation in user-centered design principles and methodology.
  • Proficiency in collaborative design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners to define website and software requirements.
  • Plan design activities and contribute to product strategy with IT and business teams.
  • Oversee UX research to inform design decisions.
  • Apply user-centered design approaches and methodologies across platforms.
  • Establish research-backed style guides with Digital Technology.
  • Lead UX specialists in project work and method selection.
  • Translate business and user needs into interactive solutions.
  • Communicate concepts through wireframes and prototypes.
  • Advocate for users during development, conducting usability testing.
  • Develop effective information architecture and ensure UI consistency.
  • Coach UX specialists in stakeholder presentations.
  • Adapt to changing priorities in Agile environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on design implementation and support.
  • Maintain and evolve style guides and design systems.
  • Ensure responsive design practices for web and mobile applications.
  • Mentor UX specialists in research, design, and soft skills.
  • Research new technologies for potential integration.
  • Mentor developers in UX principles.
  • Manage project tasks and reporting.
  • Deliver presentations to various audiences.
  • Lead project and communication meetings.
  • Assist with additional projects to enhance efficiency.
