Job Description
VISA's Ecosystem Risk Programs (ERP) ensures the integrity and security of the digital payment ecosystem. These programs include initiatives to mitigate risks, enhance transaction security, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. ERP focuses on identifying potential vulnerabilities, implementing proactive measures to prevent fraud, and ensuring the resilience of our payment systems. By continuously monitoring and improving the security landscape, VISA's ERP protects consumers, merchants, and financial institutions from emerging threats and ensures the trustworthiness of the global payment network.
Essential Functions:
As a Senior User Experience Designer on the Ecosystem Risk Product Team, you will design user-centric solutions that enhance security and risk management within our payment ecosystem. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and product managers to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative, value-driven case management solutions that unify our end-to-end processes while establishing an outstanding user experience.
- Generate product requirements and solutions that integrate stakeholder feedback and leverage industry best practices.
- Lead the design and prototyping of user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and user needs.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Assist with survey creation and lead design thinking workshops.
- Facilitate user interviews and usability testing.
- Summarize research findings and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Present and speak on research findings to stakeholders.
- Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
- Understand post-launch feature usage, gather feedback, assess business value outcomes, identify improvements, and continuously enhance based on a business value-driven approach.
- Maintain quality as the highest standard, ensuring tradeoffs for product needs do not compromise quality.
- Position yourself as a thought leader and respected expert in the sales enablement and platform space.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure design consistency with VISA’s brand guidelines and design system.
- Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies.
- Work closely with the product team to align feature functionality across the product portfolio.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar, with a particular emphasis on experience with Figma.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
- Proven experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into user-friendly designs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Experience with design thinking methodologies and leading design thinking workshops.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in mentoring and leading junior designers.
- Comfortable presenting and defending design decisions to stakeholders.
- Understanding of analytics and how to use data to inform design decisions.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools.
- Experience working within and contributing to a design system.
- Strong understanding of interaction design principles and techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 143,200.00 to 207,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
