The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and managing the configuration and functional needs of the SAP S/4 HANA system. The candidate will play an imperative role to ensure accurate, consistent, and controlled financial records. The candidate will be a sought-out expert internally for their deep functional expertise to understand business problems and drive SAP optimizations in the Financial Accounting and Controlling (FI/CO) modules.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead as Project Manager for complex business processes in SAP for the FI/CO modules
  • Successfully manage SAP projects from development to design, configuration, functional testing, data migration, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ultimately end-user training
  • Maintain General Ledger integrity within SAP ERP system to ensure accurate and consistent application of accounting policies (design, oversight, and ongoing support) including but not limited to: Financial Reporting, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Project System, Product costing and Management Accounting
  • Challenge current ways of work to drive system efficiencies and optimizations wherever possible to meet business demands
  • Work cross-functionally, influence, and communicate clearly with all levels of management. This position will work with other SAP analysts and teams, as needed
  • Identify, investigate, and implement add-on tools and software to SAP as needed
  • Ability to create accurate and detailed business and technical specifications.
  • Other SAP module knowledge is a plus.
  • Open to perform other tasks as requested

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related discipline is required
  • 5+ years of experience working as Lead SAP FI analyst with strong background in SAP best practices
  • 5+ years experience working with SAP S/4Hana is required
  • A demonstrated understanding of financial business processes
  • Manufacturing experience preferred, including experience in production costing and discrete and repetitive processing
  • Ability to develop frameworks and solutions to questions and concepts
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of SAP reporting structure is preferred
  • This position is located onsite in Syracuse NY (Relocation assistance is available)
