Position Summary

This role drives the CDK approach to gathering, managing and delivering competitive intelligence to foster corporate decision making and strengthen competitive market strategy and positioning. You will work across our Product Marketing, Product Management and Sales teams to establish a common framework of understanding and communicating competitive insights and enabling our teams to differentiate CDK offerings to dealers, OEMs and Partners.   You will be a key driver of our competitive strategy and collaborate with high-performing teams dedicated to strengthening market leadership. As the Sr.  Competitive Intelligence Manager, you will have a direct impact on our strategic direction, product positioning, and market success.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Build a deep understanding of CDK’s business model, growth strategy, differentiated product offerings, customers, and partners
  • Develop and implement a competitive intelligence framework to track and analyze competitors' products, strategies, and market positioning
  • Facilitate comprehensive competitive analyses, including SWOT, competitive market positioning, and trend analysis, to support strategic planning
  • Partner with product marketing, sales, and product management teams to align competitive insights with product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
  • Partner with product marketing to create and maintain competitive playbooks, battle cards, and training materials to equip sales and customer success teams with effective competitive positioning
  • Collaborate to deliver training sessions for sales and customer success teams on leveraging competitive insights effectively
  • Develop and present reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing competitive findings and strategic recommendations for executive leadership
  • Provide thought leadership on market trends and the competitive landscape to guide high-level business decisions
  • Manage and optimize competitive intelligence tools and platforms to enhance data gathering, analysis, and reporting
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors as needed to strengthen competitive intelligence capabilities

Qualifications, Education, & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or a similar strategic role, ideally within B2B SaaS and/or automotive retail. Prior experience managing a competitive intelligence team or program is a plus.
  • Knowledge of modern competitive analysis concepts and techniques.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing competitive intelligence initiatives that enable market differentiation and drive strategic business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives across virtual teams.
  • Excellent communications skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, highly skilled in content creation
  • 15-30% Travel

Compensation: $110,000-$125,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.  The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
