Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Manager (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive tooling service, including the establishment of system administration policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure the continued success of finding vulnerabilities earlier in the development cycle.
  • Lead a team of application security professionals by mentoring, guiding, and supporting them to drive excellence in application security practices.
  • Ensure that developers, applications security engineers, and security champions from cross-functional teams are provided tools to enable and empower Visa developers, ensuring the security and integrity of our applications throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with development teams to embed security practices into the software development lifecycle, promoting secure coding practices and ensuring adherence to secure development frameworks.
  • Conduct regular system health assessments to ensure that all tools can perform vulnerability scans at different stages of software development lifecycle and continue to maintain low false positive rate with reliable performance.
  • Support continuous integration and development (CICD) by integrating AppSec tools in the development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with the latest application security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to provide recommendations and guidance on security controls, risk mitigation strategies, and secure architecture designs.
  • Lead incident response efforts for application security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to investigate, remediate, and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with compliance and regulatory teams to ensure applications meet relevant security standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and education, conducting training sessions and awareness campaigns to promote a security-first mindset across the organization.
  • Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer systems or computer systems security-related occupation.
  • Experience must include:
  • Application security, with a focus on secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and security testing.
  • Managing enterprise-wide deployment of source code analysis using Checkmarx, and CxSAST.
  • Acunetix and/or Sonatype Nexus IQ.
  • Web Application Security, Network Security, Data Security and Identity & Access Management.
  • Performance tuning, scalability, and optimization of application security testing tools.
  • Edge Network, integration of tooling with Github runners.
  • Unix, Linux, Windows 16, Java, .Net, and C++.
  • Application security concepts, frameworks, and industry standards (e.g., OWASP Top Ten, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Application security testing tools, such as static analysis (SAST), dynamic analysis (DAST), and interactive analysis (IAST).
  • Development languages, frameworks, and platforms.

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $152,300.00 USD to $243,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time off and Wellness Programs.
