The Sr. Manager, Product Category Marketing will report to Sr Director, Brand Marketing in Austin, Texas and will lead the vision and execution of marketing initiatives for our Gear & Equipment portfolio, driving category growth and market leadership in the hardgoods sector. The Gear and Equipment category currently includes hard coolers, protective cases and camp chairs. It is the cornerstone of our brand promise and fundamental to the YETI product portfolio.

This role will shape product narratives that support our breadth of offering, develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies to fuel our innovation stories, and create lasting consumer connections that continue to elevate our brand presence within this critical space.

Qualified candidates will excel at cross-functional collaboration and effective communication and inspire teams to achieve common objectives. Individuals with thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to seamlessly shift between strategic vision and detailed execution. They can navigate both the big pictures and the finer details, adapting to the needs of the moment. Proactivity, idea generation, hustle and leadership will be critical skills to push the business forward.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute category and product positioning strategies that align with our brand vision to differentiate our Gear & Equipment offerings in the marketplace

· Drive category growth through data-driven marketing initiatives, consumer insights, and competitive analysis

· Orchestrate product launches and go-to-market strategies across strategic marketing channels

· Artfully communicate key product and marketing strategies to cross functional teams, developing compelling materials that dictate global product positioning and objectives, ensuring a consistent, unified and impactful brand message

· Stay ahead of marketing trends by continually monitoring consumer needs, competitive offerings and cultural truths to inform strategic decisions

· Author the briefs and other documentation that articulate strategies and set plans in motion

· Build and optimize evergreen marketing programs that ensure sustained category performance and brand relevance

· Partner with Category managers to influence the future product roadmap with brand insights

· Find relevance, drive opportunity and expand our deep connections to the audiences we serve and foster

· Be the filter for the brand; understand it and master the articulation of it

Qualifications and Attributes:

· Bachelor’s degree

· At least 8 years of experience in relevant fields, consumer marketing background, ideally with a strong brand

· At least 4 years of leadership experience

· Strong preference for candidates with experience in outdoor gear or related hard goods

· Demonstrated expertise in driving growth, relevance and energy within consumer cohorts

· Expertise in leading seamless omni-channel campaigns, effectively coordinating efforts across internal teams and external partners

· Curiosity, enthusiasm, a touch of grit and assuredly, good taste
