JOB OVERVIEW: 

This position is responsible for driving growth within the Federal Government sector by establishing sales resource priority and direction. Primary focus will be on expanding federal government penetration through increased customer engagement, manufacture alignment, and contract developmentThe role will also be responsible for the coordination of bid activity and Customer Care to support sales priorities.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute sales strategy 

  • Responsible for identifying customer growth opportunities to support budget attainment 

  • Responsible for leading a team of Federal sales assets  

  • Identifying and supporting Medical and Dental sales assets to support growth opportunities 

  • Negotiate and develop supplier agreements to drive market advantage in conjunction with Merchandising manager. 

  • Identify and target expanded contract opportunities 

  • Utilize and synergize with bid team to capitalize on open market opportunities 

  • Support compliance efforts including contract submissions and reporting requirements 

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:   

  • History of performance in building, developing, and leading federal teams to high growth 

  • Expansive network within Government procurement  

  • DOD contracting experience  

  • Medical supply or equipment experience preferred

  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships

  • Broad and wide-range of professional and managerial skills with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures 

  • Ability to lead and develop virtual teams 

  • Outstanding in multiple technical and business skills 

  

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:   

Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 3 or more years of management experience. 

  

PREFERRED EDUCATION:   

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. 

  

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required. 

The posted range for this position is $112,003 - $154,004 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
