Sleuth is seeking a full-stack Software Engineer or Sr. Software Engineer who will be instrumental in shaping the product of a cutting-edge AI tool. You will own major product features across the stack from design to launch. This is a highly multidisciplinary role that is perfect for someone who craves ownership, is comfortable with ambiguity, and loves the challenge of moving as fast as possible. A Typical Week in this Role:
● Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across the entire stack to power our product
● Shape the foundation of the engineering organization for years to come by making key architectural decisions
● Work cross-functionally across different domains to bring ideas from inception to production-ready
Your Expertise:
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or demonstration of equivalent capabilities
● 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality products, ideally in a startup environment
● Deployed production code with Python – at the API, service, and/or data layer levels
● Built and maintained web applications written in JavaScript/Typescript and modern frameworks such as ReactJS or Next.js
● Self-motivated with a drive to take ownership of projects end-to-end
● Authorized to work in the United States
● Able to work on Pacific Standard Time (PST)

● [Bonus] Experience with multiple programming languages beyond the above
● [Bonus] Experience with LLMs and/or RAG-enabled question-answering workflows
● [Bonus] Experience with LangChain or LangGraph
● [Bonus] Experience building products from the ground up
● [Bonus] Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
● [Bonus] Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Terraform, Datadog, etc.)
● [Bonus] Machine-learning experience
● [Bonus] Experience working within or adjacent to the biopharma industry or a strong interest in the space
Compensation & Benefits:
● Compensation: $130-160K base salary with meaningful equity in a venture-backed, early-stage startup
