To execute on our vision and strategic imperatives, we are looking for Sr. Data Engineer that are committed to engineering excellence, bold and innovative and are passionate about advancing and modernizing technologies. 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Big data and cloud architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience writing SQL within database systems such as BigQuery, SAP HANA, Teradata
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building modern data pipelines within a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • 5+ years of experience with Python or other object-oriented languages in an analytics engineering setting
  • 5+ years of experience with data, orchestration, and pipeline engineering services such as Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes, preferably Composer / Dataproc
  • 5+ years of experience deploying to, and managing CI/CD within, cloud database platforms
  • 3+ years of experience working with LLMs and other Gen AI models.
  • 5+ years of experience with ETL/ELT, and building high-volume data pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience with Query optimization, data structures, transformation, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • Demonstrates a keen awareness of the member experience while seeking opportunities for automation and innovation to automate and optimize business operations
  • Ability to work with Data Science & Products team to understand operations workflow and requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BigQuery strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
  • Ability to identify potential technical problems and craft innovate solutions to overcome them
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams
  • Experience with bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities & UNIX Commands
  • Ability to work quickly under potentially ambiguous circumstances

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
