The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to support our Finance department, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting teams. This role will be responsible for providing data-driven insights, building reports and dashboards, and ensuring accurate financial analysis that informs strategic decision-making.
This remote position reports to the Sr. Manager of Data Analytics and collaborates closely with Finance stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy, drive financial insights, and support forecasting and budgeting efforts.
Responsibilities
Financial Data Analytics & Reporting
- Partner with FP&A and Accounting teams to analyze financial data, track key metrics, and generate actionable insights.
- Build and maintain financial dashboards and reports in Tableau to improve visibility into business performance.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data by working closely with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to enhance data pipelines.
- Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic planning and budgeting.
- Assist with ad hoc financial data requests and deep dives into company performance metrics.
KPI Ownership & Collaboration
- Define and monitor financial KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting techniques and common metrics for b2b eCommerce SaaS companies.
- Work closely with FP&A and Accounting teams to provide data-driven recommendations on cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Assist in automating financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure finance stakeholders have access to the right data and tools to make informed decisions.
Technical Skills & Data Transformation
- Expertise in SQL to query, analyze, and transform data efficiently.
- Strong understanding of semantic layers to enable scalable, self-serve analytics across the company.
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and advanced analytics.
- Advanced Tableau skills for building interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
- Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT) is strongly desirable, as it enables efficient data transformation and modeling.
- Conduct data modeling and predictive analytics to support business initiatives.
- Develop a foundational understanding of Python for analytics projects that require deeper data science techniques.
- Navigate GitHub to review key tables created by Engineering.
- Document insights and collaborate effectively using Confluence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial data analytics, business intelligence, or FP&A analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Expertise in SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
- Experience working with FP&A and Accounting teams to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Familiarity with financial modeling, statistical analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience automating financial reporting processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT) is a plus, particularly for financial data transformation and modeling.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

- macOS and G-Workspace knowledge is a plus!
