Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Senior Configuration Management Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Primary Responsibilities

The Sr. Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Duties include ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data that is created from internal projects or supplied by the customer.Sr. Configuration Analyst will work independently to develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines. Sr. Configuration Analyst will verify Printed Circuit Board Electronics Bills of Materials along with a full suite of support documents that make up the full design technical data package. Sr. Configuration Analyst will be responsible for executing Configuration and Data Management processes and controls; ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. Sr. Configuration Analyst will write and maintain documents such as CM corporate policies, Configuration Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, program Access Control lists, desktop instructions, CM work instructions and audit forms. Sr. Configuration Analyst will oversee CM team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches .Sr. Configuration Analyst will support tasks in a dynamic environment, working closely with the CM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, other teams, and the customer and/or external contacts to support products throughout their lifecycle. Sr. Configuration Analyst can be a remote employee that may be required to come into the office to support as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education:  This position requires a 4 year degree in a relevant applicable field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience.  In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of at least fifteen (15) years applicable experience in configuration and data management of products where impact assessments, change authorization and adhering to industry standards is a daily required activity.

  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge and experience in the process of printed circuit board electronics design documentation development and manufacturing.

  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques of technical domain and develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines.

  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge and experience in configuration change management principles and record types.

  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software and other CM practices as detailed in SAE EIA-649 (series and associated handbooks), ASME Y14 (series), ISO 9001, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-61, DODM 5200.01 (series), DODI 5200.48 etc.

  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.  (Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, etc.)

  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams and specifications.

  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft office products (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio experience is a plus)

  • Candidate must be proficient in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent

  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software

  • Candidate must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, customer representatives and external contacts.

  • Candidate must have good organizational skills and be detail oriented.

  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge with:

  • NDIA CDM, CMII or other Configuration Management/Data Management certification

  • Printed circuit board layout or schematic capture design software tools (Mentor Expedition, Altium, etc.).

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
