Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

You’ll be joining the Policy team in the Platform product group working on sensor configuration that drives much of our product line. We are both a product and internal service team, building features that are customer-facing as well as platforms and frameworks for internal engineering partner teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Leverage and build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence at a global scale.

  • Brainstorm, define, scope, and build products and frameworks collaboratively with Cloud, Test, Frontend, and Sensor engineers, product managers, and designers across multiple teams.

  • Always be learning, raising the technical knowledge of the team, and considering the new technologies while balancing what’s most pragmatic.

  • Humbly mentor other developers on web, backend, data storage technologies, and CrowdStrike policy systems.

  • Consistently re-evaluate our product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, testing, and stability.

  • Be an energetic “self-starter” with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables and operational improvements.

What You’ll Need:

  • Golang

  • K8s, Docker, Terraform, Spinnaker, Kafka

  • Elasticsearch, OpenSearch Postgres, Redis, Cassandra

  • AWS

  • Git, Jenkins, Slack, Confluence, Jira

Key Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science or comparable experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

  • Professional experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python, C++, Java, and/or a willingness to learn and use Golang.

  • Comfort and experience working within the constraints of existing software applications and architectures.

  • The ability to scale backend systems, i.e. sharding, partitioning, scaling horizontally.

  • Practical experience building web services and data pipelines at scale, and building services within a microservices architecture.

  • Demonstrated experience with distributed systems and scalability challenges as well as multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.

  • Team player with strong communication and documentation skills – we embrace collaborating as a team and sharing information to benefit the whole.

  • A thorough understanding of engineering best practices such as appropriate testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.

  • The ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.

  • The skills to meet your commitments on time and produce high quality software that is fully tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

Bonus Points:

  • Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Kafka, Elasticsearch.

  • Experience with different Agile methodologies and process improvements.

  • Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.

  • Authored or led successful open source libraries and projects.

Bring your experience in distributed technologies and algorithms, your great API and systems design sensibilities, and your passion for writing code that performs at extreme scale. You will help build a platform that scales to millions of events per second and Terabytes of data per day. If you want a job that makes a difference in the world and operates at a high scale, you’ve come to the right place.
