Position Summary

Effectual Solution Architects (SAs) are members of the Sales and Business Development team. They ensure that customers have a clear understanding of the technical aspects of Effectual services and that internal delivery teams are provided clear input on project expectations and deliverables. Effectual SAs are "Brand Ambassadors" and are expected to stay current on leading practices to deliver high-quality, well-conceived cloud solutions to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • You will work directly with company leadership and report to the Field CTO
  • Work directly with the Sales organization to engage with customers for technical problem definition and context.
  • Analyze current technologies used internally and in the cloud marketplace to determine solutions.
  • Work across the SA team to recommend and create tools to ensure necessary contributions from multiple departments
  • Project definition in parallel to opportunity research
  • Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed projects
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
  • Work with internal delivery professionals within the company to ensure products and service expertise are aligned with the project need
  • Define clear goals for technical aspects of a project and ensure communication for their proper execution
  • Support the migration of customers from on-premises environments to AWS through:
  • Develop migration plans
  • Provide recommendations and context for specific end-state design decisions
  • Confirm details of the architecture, design, dependencies, project plan and actions with the delivery team and customer.
  • Use tools to support assumptions in migration design including:
  • RV tools, Clumio, VMware HCX, Veeam, AWS CloudEndure, etc.
  • You communicate working preferences and understanding the working preferences of others to help develop a high-performing team that operates with respect and effectiveness
Qualifications
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in an Engineering field like computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science, or other relevant field.
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and latest cloud tools
  • Experience deploying and managing IT and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with best practices regarding data strategies, application development, and security principles
  • Hands-on experience with software architecture and DevOps tooling
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience
  • AWS certifications (e.g.: Developer Associate, Sysops Administrator Associate, Solution Architect Associate, etc.)
  • Experience in software engineering and design architecture
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Salary Range for this position: $139,000-$176,000
