JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The EHR Solution Architect II (SA) provides fit design and architectural assurance of the EHR and related solutions to internal customers. They work within project implementation and post implementation maintenance to support the customer, project team, vendor and other project stakeholders to ensure an EHR that delivers the expected end user benefits.

They develop and maintain strong relationships with operations teams to understand and meet the needs of the business resulting in solutions aligned with organizational goals. The SA collaborates with other key technical, business and project management teams to optimize electronic health record information systems. The primary goal of the SA is to lead the design team to evaluate business needs and render best fit technical solutions within the EHR and associated solutions to support Centerstone’s Mission, Vision, and Values of delivering care that changes people’s lives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as an EHR expert within the IT team.
  • Manages the technical scope of assigned areas of responsibilities.
  • Works with the project team or serves as a project lead to construct a project plan that accelerates adoption and delivers both short and long-term benefits.
  • Identifies and understands the integration points of the EHR solution. Designs solutions to aid in integration of disparate systems.
  • Serves as the project manager or IT senior leader on EHR design and implementation projects. 
  • Interprets technical and business requirments to form the EHR solution.
  • Executes design strategies and manages ongoing second level support of the solution.
  • Leads the team in identification of best practices and standardization.
  • Provides oversite during implementation to ensure ongoing technical viability of change and monitors technical progress of the project to support timelines and financial goals.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the industry and adopts emerging technologies as deployed by the vendors.
  • Utilize business and technical knowledge to advance solutions and assist our customers and stakeholders.
  • Stages and configures forms and widget updates and completes all required changes.
  • Keeps current on all tickets and assignments and provides clear feedback of deliverables and required changes.
  • Maintains solution patches, updates and configuration, and communicates changes to customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Strong understanding of EHR system design, development, and implementation.
  • Demonstrable experience as a technical team member in healthcare EHR systems.
  • Experience in EHR implementations including planning, configuration, testing, and training.
  • Experience in healthcare operations, billing or related fields.  Strong understanding of relevant rules and regulations for healthcare operations.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into a technical solution and communicate technical changes to non-technical users.
  • Support the wider IT team in providing skills mentoring and education.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities and solutions.
  • Work independently to create solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

         

Education Level

Bachelor's degree in related field. Four years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.

Years of Experience

Seven or more years' experience in IT EHR roles including new software implementation and maintenance required.

Behavioral health experience highly desired.

Certification/Licensure

None required

Pay Range:

$61,630.00--$86,400.00
