DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Execute creative software solutions, design, and development. Perform technical troubleshooting and build solutions or break down technical problems. Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Drive communities of practice across Software Engineering to ensure awareness and use of new and leading- edge technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Programmer/Analyst, IT Specialist, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Amazon EKS; Amazon ECS; Amazon CloudWatch; AWS CloudWatch Container Insights; AWS CloudWatch X-Ray; Terraform including State File manipulation; Observability including Open Telemetry, DynaTrace, Grafana, Splunk, DataDog and Prometheus; Linux and Unix with bash scripting; Linux and Unix with Docker or podman container commands; Application Architecture Disciplines; Data Architecture Disciplines; Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines; Microservices; Git; Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab; Jenkins; Automated Testing; Performance Testing.
