Position Overview

Help us build great software that protects our customers around the world from an ever-increasing number of cyber attacks!

As part of the Application Data Platform team, Software Engineers will work directly on Vectra's platform to build or enhance features that help solve customer problems. The ADP team supports cloud-based data streaming applications, providing the runtime environment, data input and output, metrics and visibility to live applications and extensive developer tooling to application developers.

The position requires 1-2 days a week in our Austin, Texas office, to boost in-person collaboration and team culture. We have periodic events going on at the office for extra fun!

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Base salary is expected to be $120,000 to $130,000 based on applicant's experience; all Vectra employees are eligible for the company yearly bonus (if funded), incentive stock options, health insurance and other standard company benefits.

Responsibilities

To be able to work on high-impact software projects, you will need to:

  • Be comfortable writing and shipping code on a daily basis
  • Contribute to automated testing and other parts of end-to-end software delivery
  • Work collaboratively in a team with other experienced engineers, product managers, and designers
  • Evaluate and identify the correct approaches or technologies to use to solve problems

Qualifications

  • Required
    • Recent BS, M.S or Ph.D. graduate (or graduating by Summer 2025) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
    • Strong applied software development experience; you've built, broken, and fixed software applications in one or more industry internship experiences
    • Experience with an object oriented programming language and data structures
    • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
    • Experience with a source control system, preferably Git
  • Desirable
    • Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals
    • Experience with databases and data management
    • Working knowledge of cloud environments
    • Performance tuning skills

Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below. Actual pay for this position may vary based on the hired candidate’s location, experience and relevant incumbent pay position.

$120,000$130,000 USD
