We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Embedded Visualizations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in defining and implementing high-quality, scalable visualization templates and best practices using PowerBI, Dash, React, and Tableau. This role is crucial in enabling our organization to empower hundreds of users to create compelling data visualizations using a cloud-first, microservices approach.

  • Define and implement best practices and patterns for creating scalable, high-quality visualizations using PowerBI, Dash, React, and Tableau.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance PowerBI templates that scale effectively with big data.
  • Create a robust semantic layer to support scalable PowerBI solutions, emphasizing a "least logic" approach with minimal bespoke visuals.
  • Ensure system uptime of 99.9% and rapid load times for visuals, demonstrating expertise in scaling to large data sets and pushing dashboards to production.
  • Provide training and support to GM users, enabling them to create impactful visualizations and reports following the established guidelines.
  • Assess Python-based visuals for scalability and efficiency, ensuring they meet GM's performance and maintenance standards.
  • Understand and implement methods to connect React with PowerBI, including token and authentication patterns.



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems/related field or relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in deployment and management of Production dashboards
  • Proven experience in developing and managing PowerBI templates and setting standards (design guides, performance tuning)
  • Strong proficiency in Dash, React, and Tableau.
  • Deep understanding of the importance of a semantic layer in scaling big data solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data visualization challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of connecting React with PowerBI, including token and authentication patterns.
  • Experience in scaling multiple Dash-based apps, ensuring adherence to performance and maintenance standards.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD best practices for visualization projects.


Additional Description

  • Experience with other BI tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of best practices in data governance and security.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of GitHub Enterprise and Git Actions.


Compensation : The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

  • The salary range for this role is $83,800- $133,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
